Let's move on to Marina Drive and take a look at a few of these houses. Here is a typical house in Hope Ranch. As you can see it's no different from any other house except there's a shiny new B.M.W. parked in front and an immaculate view of the ocean and channel islands in the background. A few years ago we had a party at one of these houses and of course the only question on everyone's lips was "What does your dad do for a living and how can I get his job?" Actually the inside is just like any other ordinary house except the living room has white shaggy carpet and a long L-shaped couch around the perimeter. They also had resting on the coffee table this 6" high slab of glass with a swan carved in it.
