Dual-Input Dual-Output Digitally Controlled Delay Timer

After taking the high speed water balloon pictures and the water rocket pictures I decided to improve on the electronic delay I was using which allowed for an adjustable delay between the sensor detecting the event and the moment the camera flash should trigger.

I wanted a device that would not only allow one to precisely adjust the delay but would also allow for two camera flash units to trigger with a precise time between flashes. This way a fast double exposure photo could be made with an exact known time between exposures.

Since the device was built in a Tupperware container it was very easy to access the electronics simply be removing the lid off the bottom.

Some of the circuit boards. I hand soldered all of this. It was a fun project!
