1. | Before releasing the Pentium chip to the world one would assume Intel did all they could to test the floating point division instruction by trying out numerous divisions. A carefully chosen division operation might prove that a certain cell in the lookup table has the correct value in it. Can every cell in the lookup table be verified this way? Determine if it's possible to synthesize a Dividend/Divisor pair of numbers that when divided will hit one of the error cells. |
